KZN MEC For Public Works And Infrastructure Meets Departmental Staff
KWAZULU-NATAL: On Tuesday, 2 July 2024, the newly- appointed KZN MEC for Public Works and Infrastructure Mr Lukas Meyer embarked on a Departmental Meet and Greet Roadshow, a crucial crusade aimed at directly interacting with all categories of staff.

The MEC received a warm welcome from staff members during the first day's engagement held at the Pietermaritzburg-based Southern Regional Office where he was formally introduced by the Head of Department Mr Siboniso Majola. Later, the MEC and his entourage proceeded to the Ethekwini Regional Office for the second introductory session. This is where he also received a groundswell of support from all officials in attendance.

Both sessions presented an opportunity for the MEC to set a clear tone on the importance of doing work effectively and efficiently as he encouraged Departmental staff to come up with new innovations which, upon implementation will enhance government work for the benefit of the people of KwaZulu-Natal.

Staff members appreciated the MEC's visits when he applauded the current cohort of dedicated Departmental Artisans who are down for whatever the job throws at them. More sessions of this nature will also be held in other offices in due course.
