Office of the HOD

PURPOSE: To provide administrative support to the Head of Department

FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provide administrative support to the HOD
  2. Manage resources in the office of the HOD
  3. Coordinate, manage and quality control information and communication between the department and the HOD and the HOD and MEC
  4. Coordinate and provide secretariat services to departmental management meetings
  5. Source information required by the HOD

Internal Control

PURPOSE: To provide Internal Control & Risk Management Services to the Department

FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provide Ombudsman Services for the Department
  2. Manage and conduct compliance audit services in the Department
  3. Develop, implement and maintain fraud prevention strategies for the Department
  4. Formulate and implement a risk management strategy.
  5. Coordinate the implementation of Audit recommendations
  6. Undertake internal investigations within the Department
  7. Monitor financial risks and implement anti-fraud and corruption strategy
