PURPOSE: To provide research, information analysis and conceptualisation services to the Provincial Secretary

FUNCTIONS:

  1. Review police practices, methodologies and performance and make recommendations in respect thereof;
  2. Conduct research into the policing needs of the province and make recommendations in respect thereof;
  3. Review policing policies and directives and make recommendations in respect thereof;
  4. Develop, evaluate and review community safety models, initiatives and monitoring tools.
